I don’t remember much about this children’s theatre production of Snow White, except the fact that I was the tallest dwarf in the history of the American musical! I had a great time playing the ever-loveable, always-huggable Dopey . . . during the course of rehearsals, I developed a simple version of sign language that I used to communicate with the other dwarves. My favorite moment of the show was near the end, when Snow White came back to life after eating the poison apple! I remember crying my eyes out, signing “I Love You!, I Love You!, I Love You!” And who said children’s theatre wasn’t powerful stuff???
