A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM

Role: Hysterium

Production Info: June 27-July 7, 1996 @ Mac-Haydn Theatre
Director/Choreographer: Joseph Patton
Musical Director: Kep Kaeppeler

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at the Mac-Haydn Theatre was one of those life-changing experiences for me (hard to believe, but true). It was this show that really gave me solid confidence in my comic abilities — previous to this, I still wasn’t quite sure how I fit into the acting world — and my success with this role really gave me that “ummph” that helped me decide to pursue a theatrical career. I loved every single minute of this production, EVERY night. Total slapstick craziness from start to finish, with a bevy of half-dressed women thrown in for kicks. That’s comedy!
