Talk about CRAZY . . . we almost didnt pull this one off! Crazy for You! at the Mac-Haydn Theatre was quite an experience. Mary Lee DeWitt, a previous member of the Broadway company, came into rehearsals to teach us the original choreography. Three problems soon became evident one, we had less than two weeks to put it all together; two, everything had to be restaged in the round, and; three, half of the cast COULDNT DANCE! But with lots of late-night brush-up rehearsals and good old hard work, we did it. Along with being in the dancing chorus, I played Mingo, the tenor in the singing trio that appear throughout the show. Between the tappin and the wailin, I got quite a workout, but the audiences ate it up. (We were pretty proud of ourselves, too!)
