JUNE/JULY 2004
Friends in the City, Elises Wedding, Denver and Rye Playland
Summertime is a great time to catch up with friends in NYC. The hot weather seems to put everyone in a casual mood, and the slower pace of showbiz during June, July and August allows most people the chance to reconnect and enjoy life! June 2004 was no exception to the rule, and below are some photos from some fun events.
First are a few photos of my friend Alison Cimmet and her new baby boy Max. She came over to my Manhattan aparment for an afternoon so my neighbors and I could meet the new man in her life! The next few photos give a sneak peek into my side job as a Group Leader for Pro Musica, a performing-arts tour operator. The guys and girls from Dance Dynamics in Macon, Georgia enjoyed their trip so much that they sent me some snapshots from our week together in the city. And the last few shots below are from the annual Heritage of Pride Parade in New York City . . . always a great opportunity to reconnect with friends and wander through the streets of Manhattan!

Put a gorgeous girl in a gorgeous dress with a gorgeous man on her arm, and you have the ingredients for a gorgeously perfect wedding! My good friend Elise Molinelli (a pal of mine since we performed together in No, No, Nanette) got hitched to her longtime boyfriend Tim Gulan in New York City on July 25, 2004, and I was there to witness the whole event! My Nanette pals Alisa Klein and Matt Wall were on hand to enjoy the festivities as well, and we had the best time reminiscing about our fun summer at the Goodspeed Opera House. Check out the photos below:

Flying to far-away places to visit friends who are performing out-of-town is one of the perks of the gypsy life, and I try to take advantage of every travel opportunity I get. My best buddy Amanda Ryan Paige booked a summer job at Denvers Arvada Center performing in a fun musical entitled Das Barbecu (a country-western retelling of Wagners Ring Cycle, if you can imagine), and I booked my airline ticket pronto! The show was a blast, and I had a great time spending the 4th of July at a cast cookout. Other highlights include a trip over the Rocky Mountains to Breckenridge with Amandas boyfriend Christian, as well as a stop in South Park! All the snapshots are below:

No summer is complete without a trip to Rye Playland, and this time Alison and her little guy Max came along for the ride! Vito, Bruce and I each took turns on baby-patrol so everyone could enjoy the rides and sights of this quaint New England amusement park. Take a look at the photos from our fun visit below! (Doesnt it look like Max is a little bored with the roller coasters?? I just dont get it!)
